As Shaneen and I seek out what our future has in store, we have come to the realization that we are going to be in the states for the next three years. This is due to the fact that the immigration process for my wife will take that long. At first this was disappointing as we wanted to get out to where we where needed. We soon realized that this was a good thing for us, as we would just jump off into any opportunity that came our way if we where not held back. This allows us to spend more time looking at the different opportunities as well as time to raise support.
Support is probably the hardest part of this process for me. Working with YWAM I had to raise all of my support for my housing and living expenses. Even though my bills where very small I had a hard time reaching those with the support base that I had. This is a HUGE stress. It made it difficult for me to focus on what I was doing and have hope for the future. Now that we are going to be around for a while it raises the question of what type of organization to go with. There are basically to types when it comes to support.
- You raise your support from family, friends, churches, businesses, etc.
- The organization supports most to all of your needs.
That is what I have on my mind this week. Blessings to All.
Shay
