This past weekend The RightNow Campaign put on our seventh Fusion Experience. It was amazing! It was our biggest crowd, strongest line-up and most powerful messaging to date.
It's very cool to experience over 2000 from our generation gathered to worship and proclaim that we will serve God wherever and however he leads us. Something was just "on" about this event. Each of our speakers delivered a God-honoring and challenging message ... the experiences like the Dokime, one-act play and short film were able to touch all the senses and hammer home the idea of "faith + life" and we even tried a few brand new things.
The Brickhouse Choir joined us Friday night to bring some great gospel music. We also launched the "I'm A Trader" campaign where people donated blankets, toothbrushes and juice boxes to ministries here in Dallas and overseas. Through the Trade Store at the event our attendees sent hundreds of Bibles to China, built an orphanage for kids in Africa, provided eight micro-loans for oppressed women, sponsored over 20 children and fed an entire village.
This was all just the beginning. There were 40 ministries on hand to help our attendees connect their passions and skills to specific ministry opportunities. As people left Fusion, they were challenged to respond "RightNow" and not wait around. In the coming days, weeks and months the stories will start to trickle in as attendees takes action and make a difference for Christ.
Our team is now preparing to do it again in Washington DC in the spring of 2008 and in Dallas in the fall of 2008. We are shooting to gather 800 leaders for LeadNow and add another 1500 for the Fusion Experience in these cities.
