My Story:
I'm Paul. I live in an apartment with 3 other guys in Pomona, California. I'm a senior at Cal Poly Pomona. I'm 21 years old and I should be graduating in approximately three months. I belong to a really sweet club on campus called Campus Crusade for Christ, which we call Cru. I love to just hang out with friends fro Cru and to go to all sorts of events that Cru holds. I also love sports, especially soccer and football, but playing any sport is normally pretty fun. I am really passionate the cross. Because of the cross I have been changed in so many ways. I love people and I love to just serve them and try to show the some a very small part of who Jesus is and what he’s about.
Why I’m seeking to live a life of mission:
There are only three things that are eternal. Those three things are God, God's Word, and the Souls of men. Because of this information I need to share Jesus with people that haven't heard about him, so that they will have a chance to live forever in the light rather than in darkness. A disciple of mine once showed me a graph that showed how there are many Christians in the world, but very few that actually share the gospel with the world. I don't want to be a typical Americanized Christian. I want to be a world Christian. I first started realizing my passion for becoming a missionary when I read Don't Waste Your Life by John Piper. In the book there is a story where an old man and woman are retired living on the beach just hanging out and it talks about how most people would see this as the best life, but he talks about how it’s a wasted life. A life focused on earthly things and not things that are eternal.
