Actively sharing the Gospel to the Unreached

Davin’s Story— Using her Photography Skills in Zanzibar with Overland Missions

I can’t do missions was the first thought in Davin’s mind when she thought about the possibility of going overseas. Being married with two kids and dealing with debt, Davin faced a lot of conflict in whether she should or even could serve overseas. But her intense passion for missions and photography never faded away.

Davin learned about RightNow through our website and she stayed in touch with her Mission coach to see if the perfect two-week opportunity would come about. Her coach then told her about an opportunity to use her photographer skills on a mission’s trip to Zanzibar with Overland Missions. Davin’s heart changed to, I can do missions as the doors sprung open for her to serve as a photographer! She will be heading to Zanzibar July 1.

Overland Missions is well-known for their 4x4 trucks, expedition boats and young missionaries that are willing to risk all for the sake of the gospel.

Amanda’s Story— Using her passion for Spanish and Evangelism in Mexico with Overland Missions

In May 2008, Amanda found out about RightNow through our website. She told her Mission coach she was beginning grad school in the fall to pursue her PhD in Politics, but that she was also passionate about evangelism, particularly in Mexico. Her Mission coach then told her about an opportunity to serve short-term with Overland Missions this summer throughout the Baja Peninsula in Mexico.

Amanda decided to pursue the opportunity and she’ll be heading to Mexico for two weeks in July. She will help local pastors encourage and strengthen the church through large nightly gatherings and daily street evangelism.

Overland Missions is committed to every tribe, tongue, and nation in the uttermost parts of the Earth and to bring the Gospel, humanitarian care, and economic opportunities to save and empower lives.
