Each week we highlight a few stories of young adults who RightNow has helped coach and guide towards a specific ministry opportunity. We hope these stories are an encouragement to you. (You can also view stories from previous weeks by clicking here.)
Charles: Spreading hope in Zimbabwe with the Global Aid Network
Charles had been giving of his resources financially but also wanted to give his time and energy to help people suffering from hunger. Charles’ mission coach helped him get connected to the Global Aid Network. As the humanitarian aid arm of Campus Crusade, Global Aid Network sends teams of short-term workers to deliver aid and resources to people world wide. Charles will spend part of this summer with Global Aid Network spreading hope in Zimbabwe.
Since 1991 the Global Aide Network has distributed over $125 million worth of aid and mobilized more than 10,000 short-term mission participants.
Libby: Heading to Malawi with The Rafiki Foundation
Libby contacted a RightNow mission coach during her time off before graduate school to explore ways she could make an impact in the lives of African children. Libby’s mission coach recommended she learn more about The Rafiki Foundation and how she could help with a Rafiki Village. Libby is now headed to Malawi for a month to live in a Rafiki village and minister to orphaned African children.
The Rafiki Foundation has 10 Rafiki Villages throughout Africa with homes for orphans, schools and clinics to help orphaned children grow up to become godly contributors in their communities and to the world.
RightNow’s mission is to connect passionate 20 and 30-somethings to specific ministry opportunities to impact God’s kingdom in the U.S. and around the world. Working along side churches, mission sending agencies and community service organizations, RightNow is an unbiased voice that personally coaches and guides individuals toward ministry opportunities that match their passions, spiritual gifts, and ministry experience.
